Location:
The town is situated in the Popradská kotlina (Popradská Basin) in the valley of the Poprad River. In the west and northwest, it is surrounded by the majestic mountain walls of the High and Belaer Tatras, in the east by the woody Levočské pohorie (Levočské Mountain Range) and in the north by the picturesque Spišská Magura (Spišská Magura mountain range).
